The book recently found itself on a foggy hike in Palos Verdes, CA. The Pacific Ocean is out there somewhere. Get your environment in order for the new year...don't remain in the "fog", get things cleared up, cleaned out and in order all set for the upcoming Chinese New Year of the Snake in February! Chi does not like clutter...ready set, get organized.

And now for a bit of "Hollywood" in Culver City Ca. at Sony studios. Fur Shui took a tour and found the land of "OZ" rainbow to enjoy as well as rubbed shoulders with Jeopardy host Alex Trebek...fame and fortune is the winning double jeopardy for your home's feng shui. All the "stars" feel very at home in the Fame life space with the color red and the number "1" being powerful energy movers for all who place them in this gua. The official car for "Ghostbusters" was also a favored site by Fur Shui. Feng Shui your auto with the passenger seat behind the driver being "helpful people". And of course, follow the "yellow brick road" to good health and balance! Oh my.

Fur Shui is really at home on the trails of "Tree People" along with a lot of responsible pet owners who walk the organization's trails in Los Angeles' Coldwater Canyon daily. Green is the color for family and community, this is a great reason to plant a tree so community can have shade, beauty and fresh air! Go Green, plant a tree and enjoy the good vibes of nature.

One must nourish themselves with great food, even while on vacation. Great fresh food is a must for both you and your pet. Think of the color gold or yellow as you scan menus for great healthy foods. For animals, feed them from a yellow bowl if possible and put the intent of great health in their food...gold is the color of health and balance in Feng Shui! Fur Shui sure knows how to enjoy a great venue and menu...this one is in South Beach, Miami. (And, it likes to be seen in all the best places too.)

Fur Shui vacationed in Miami this past summer and finally received the photos! Relaxing in Bal Harbor, Miami. The Water element this year of the Water Dragon seems to "call" the book. Water is the element of career and life path, flowing into new places, finding movement all around, cleansing and supporting the ebb and flow of one's life and career path. Fur Shui is now undergoing its own flowing changes, looking forward to being reprinted to another format early this next year of 2013! Enjoy being by the water when you can to be refreshed, rejuvenated, and reminded that one's life path, career, direction changes and moves in a fluid manner. AND, keep a good fresh supply of water in a deep bowl at the front door or entrance to your home to refresh your fur folk so they can also support you (and themselves!) with all the changes that come along or you need in your life path!

Meeting "celebrities" in Los Angeles at Sony Studio. Was a great day and met with those who use Skills and Knowledge to gain Fame. Be sure to bring some "red" with you for both luck and recognition of fame when you try out for your 15 minutes of fame!

Fur Shui was at Sony Studios...formerly MGM. Traveled under the new Rainbow sculpture, did not see any Munchkins or Wizard though. But did meet up with game show celebrities and enjoyed the day mingling with stages, props, and movie history. For all of you that make it to Jeopardy or Wheel of Fortune, brush up on your "Skills and Knowledge". Wear some blue when you stretch your mind. And, for your fur folks be sure to train them in this life space, great location to learn and be rewarded! Be sure to follow your "rainbow"!

A new member of Lauren's fur family is a sweet fluff ball named Snowball. This little one is very smart and very clever when finding play things around the house. Most fun for Snowball is to pounce on the other cats as they come through the cat door. Not so fun for the more "Sr." kitties. A good thing to do is to add a green bowl or food dish to the feeding area when a new one comes into a home. Green is the color of family and is a great color to use as all get used to new family members! This little one made one of the original fur family members "green" with envy. Watch that you give your more established fur folks lots of extra attention as new ones come in. All is well now...of course since Snowball has read Fur Shui cover to cover! Cuddling next to Snowball is CG, Snow's new bff!

Fur Shui was honored by the production crew of the Discovery Show's "I cloned my pet" series recently. The energies of Kabuki, a passed on love of Myra were being connected up to find if it would be "yes" or "no" to clone. Always ask "permission" before you do any feng shui with your environment or your animal. It is the correct thing to do so your intent on your healing or asking for help will be made so much more clear to the "chi" that you interact with. Learn to feel your environment and you will know what to do EXACTLY! Move that chi, and move it with positive intent and consideration.

Fur Shui found itself visiting Ojai, CA again, can't get enough of that quaint valley and great vibe of Ojai! Traveling via car, bike and then resting at a spa, Fur Shui was part of the street scene. Ojai's main street has a clock tower with beautiful bells striking the hours out. Bells in Feng Shui and Fur Shui bring in or "announce" good fortune, wealth and prosperity. Get a bell and put it on your pet's collar to announce it to others (birds for one with your kitty!), as well as attract some great energy to whatever you may need to bring into your life. Simply place the INTENT of what you want into the bell, bless both you and your fur folk and watch what you both attract. For great health, add a "gold" bell to a collar or leash!

Still hiking SoCal...this time closer to home at Palos Verde just South of LA and North of the LA harbor at Long Beach. Beautiful views, migrating whales pass by this stretch of the coast and the light house shines to all at the rocky outcrop warning all about "land ho"! Water everywhere. This is the element of the career life space and it flows from rivers and creeks all the way down to the Pacific Ocean. Our body make up is almost all water...so, be sure to hydrate often while hiking, get into the flow of who you are and enjoy all the natural beauty that is around you! Fur Shui loves helping out both fur and non fur folks with their life path flow and "jobs". Just place a sturdy water dish for your pooch or kitty by the front door so they can also re-hydrate and bring that career chi into your home for you to use and enjoy!

Sketching in nature is a favorite thing of mine to do! While teaching a connect to nature class at the Irvine Nature Conservancy recently we visited Limestone Canyon to see what we could draw and observe. Fun day for Fur Shui to "take the day off" and visit some green and golden hills in Santiago Canyon area outside of Irvine, CA. The greens were turning to gold, good for the health, yellow and gold being the color of the health gua.

Still hiking! Fur Shui discovered Eagle Rock up in Topanga Canyon this summer. Lots of interesting forms and valleys to view. Earth is the element of health life space. There are some pretty impressive boulders to explore and see at the end of this hike. Stones can make up some pretty strong energy pathways for Feng Shui. So when you see some stones that look like turtles...connect them to each other and you can find healing and protection energy for you and your fur friends. This is the "Form School" of Feng Shui that reflects patterns and chi in nature!

Fur Shui has been out and about hiking in LA! The Los Angeles Forest is re-cooping from the massive forest fires of 2007. The view atop Mt. Vetter in the Angeles Forest is breath taking. Wonderful day, new growth and hope for the damages made to the lovely hiking paths in and around the area. Too much "fire" energy can and is destructive. If you or your animal has energy that is way over the top, just tooooo much, calm it down a bit with the energy of "water" with some black accessories; leash, collar, food and water dish. Let the flowing qualities of water help with the abrupt forceful energies of fire!

Ready, set, aim...FIRE! Fur Shui is still touring Austin Texas. Now alongside a powerful black canon that guards the state house doors. When it comes to career, black is the color and can be pretty powerful indeed. This canon is at the entrance doors so it is acting as a "protector" to the life path and entrance of Texas so to speak! Fame is the color of red which is all about the book...and some pretty powerful canon shots have begun by lighting the fuse, creating fire for what gives force...maybe we all can use a bit of "ignition" to put our various talents and powers to good use. Check out the book's career and fame section pages! AND, be powerful protectors of doing the "correct thing"!

Fur Shui is still in Austin TX! Touring the capital and seeing the sights. Seen outside "approaching" the Capital building and rubbing elbows with two very famous Texas figures...beautiful marble statues of both Davey Crocket (guy with hand up to his chin), and Sam Houston (guy with scroll!). Stone is a very grounding Earth element that belongs to the middle gua (life space) of the bagua...the Health and Balance life space. Honoring health and well being are essential to one's life...the center of everything we do! Both these statesmen were active vital beings, using their good health and fortune to help others and establish Texas. You can add a healthy walk through famous places to encourage your own health and get a history lesson while you are at it...visit the capital in Austin, Texas!

Helllllllooooo Austin! Fur Shui has come to visit the capital! What fun. Fame and political reputation depend on the good marriage of "red" and "green". Green being for family and community, red for reputation and fame. Maybe we all could work on the "reputation" thing when it comes to politics?!
Here's Fur Shui framed in the rotunda below the capital dome...framing the city view from the iron gates...and then FAME itself...inside a Texas Star. The Star is the ultimate "pointy" object one can place in the fame gua or life section to tempt the chi to be strong and flowing for you and your fur folks. Salute to Austin...fame and fortune for all who use Fur Shui in and out of their environment!

Was a great day of creative balance for Fur Shui at the Ojai Studio Walk tour. Fabulous art and people using the day to celebrate their talent and fame. The red cover for fame as well as the green for "community" stands out along artist Christine Brennan's home fence. Art is everywhere, making up fences, homes and studios. Note the curious mouse panel along with the fish swimming by Fur Shui! Fame and fortune to all who participated!

Fur Shui recently traveled to Telluride, Colorado. What a great time with wild flowers everywhere dancing under magnificent waterfalls and streams. Crisp mountain air at over 13,000 ft elevation! The book took a break on the way to Miner's Gardens, complimenting the balance found in nature with its cover "yin and yang". A nice marmot chuckled when Fur Shui was on the mountainside. Green, green, green is greeting community, and the close knit network of family found in nature. Feng Shui "form" school is seen in this photo with the two large and "grounded" auspicious "turtle rocks" to rest on. What a wonderful spot to find peace, balance and joy!

Recently became a Docent for the Irvine Ranch Conservancy in SoCal! My book Fur Shui came along with me through the environmental class and enjoyed the great out of doors picnic with all my new docent friends (Thank you Brian...our fearless leader and teacher!). Chi is everywhere, get out into nature, be silent, hear, feel, touch, and see the beauty that naturally flows in our protected sanctuaries. It's up to you and me to enjoy, preserve, and protect, these beautiful places where nature can "be", where we can learn how to flow and grow with it. Congrats to all new Docents at the Ranch and everywhere helping folks feel from their heart the power and peace of nature!

Another fan of Roy's is his cat Tigger who does in real life have the curiosity of the Winnie the Pooh character for sure. Tigger is curious about the book, and has his own agenda with energy in their home. He is nestled into a fern green soft bed, green being the color of family and community. Roy has a wonderful family of fur and feathered folks to watch over, no wonder there is soft ferns and greens all about making life comfortable for family and sharing. Wear green for best wishes for family harmony. How about a nice green soft collar for Tigger?! Thanks Roy for sharing Fur Shui with your family.

For Roy's bird Marilyn, you have to be "on top" of the world when you look at the energies around your home. Marilyn perches up to supervise all things Fur Shui! She is the color white, which is the color of the children and creativity gua. She certainly has Roy doing creative things to show her the book. Keeping Roy on his toes and looking at the upside of things is a very good creative way of helping her person!

Fur Shui continued to enjoy many places in and around Sanibel Island, Florida! Sun, beach, shelling, dolphins, and very wonderful people to visit with. My hosts Jean B and her mom Jean A took Fur Shui visiting all over! The fishing dock at the lighthouse was a big favorite, checking to see if any large Sheephead fish were being caught, and lots of sea birds just waiting for the catch to come in! AND, a wonderful beach in Ft. Meyers, Bunche Beach which got its beginnings by Mr. Bunche before integration and equal rights became the focus. Started as a beach honoring blacks and now all enjoy its lovely long tides and wild life sanctuary. Actually the color black is all about life purpose and path in Feng Shui. This is certainly the case for all the wildlife now finding protection, sanctuary and purpose for our lives here at Bunche Beach. Many thanks to the two lovely Jeans in my life!

Fur Shui recently relaxed in and around Sanibel Island, Florida with Jean and mom Jean! Visiting wonderful reserves like Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, as well as Bunche Beach just on the other side of the causeway in Ft. Meyers. The red and orange sunsets matched the book's cover and also introduced its reputation to show up in famous (red is the color of Fame!) places where wildlife is protected, and people can relax, connect up with nature as well as their own very special internal "nature". Thanks Jean and Jean's mom Jean who is having fun at the end of the dock down at Lighthouse Beach!

The San Diego Zoo was visited by Fur Shui. Was a great day from Polar Bear to Flamingo sightings. The Flamingos are such a beauty all adorned in Pink. Spring time is the time for pairing up for these birds of a feather and they are naturally equipped in "pink" to do this! Pink is the color of the love and partnership life space in Feng and Fur Shui. Why not put a little bit of pink on your animal's collar or leash, bed or sleeping area and let it attract love for itself and of course YOU! Think Pink for love!

Fur Shui bloomed along with the many beautiful Camellia plants and hedges in March at the Descanso Gardens outside of Los Angeles. What a nice match for the deep red of the flowers and Fur Shui. Both red and green signify luck, fame and abundance for many in this new year of the rabbit! Red is fame, let's all celebrate the famous Descanso Gardens, a wonderful place to stroll, learn and enjoy...and there are many rabbits running about as well in the well kept gardens.

Jim and Fur Shui visit the historical site of the Alamo in Texas recently. Dressed in black and hat appropriate, Jim also had a acting part in the original film The Alamo alongside John Wayne. Coming back to celebrate his fame with the color red of Fur Shui along with his black outfit (amping up his acting career for sure) which is the color of the career gua, this is a very lucky and auspicious visit for both in quite a famous place!

Sunny day in Laguna Beach, CA! Fur Shui visited the Wyland gallery and enjoyed the back porch and sculptures. The Grey Whales are now migrating, so be on the lookout if you are along the SoCal coast. When the whales surface, they look like huge barges floating off shore! Grey is the color of the helpful people / travel gua and these whales that can reach 52 feet in length, live 50-75 years travel 10,000 to 12,000 miles during their migration from the Arctic to Mexico. Travel is their specialty!

Cheers and a great 2011 to Marianne and her dog Dexter. Dexter is "napping" and not in the photo, and Fur Shui decked the halls for both Marianne and Dexter. Marianne won a chakra read for her photo send in and Dexter is enjoying the wonderful energy of this new year! This sweet living tree is sporting a bright big red star. AND, stars do hang out in the fame section of your home and life. Rev up these long darker days with a bit of red for both you and your fur folks and see if you do get energized for the day! Congrats to Dexter!

A very Happy New Year to all! This is Caleb who had a love filled Christmas with his person Marilyn. Caleb is a wonderful help / service dog for folks who need a little bit of extra cheer! He enjoyed the angel tree this year...there are 5 angels that pop out to you in this photo. 5 is the number for helpful people / travel gua and this is so true of Caleb's talents! His service kerchief is of the holiday spirit of red and green which recharge him (red/fame) and also strengthen his family love and ties (green/family). A big Fur Shui salute to Caleb and Marilyn for doing all the good they pass forward!

Happy Holidays from Fur Shui. Been on a bit of a "holiday" from travel as of late. The colors red and green are very popular for the holiday season. With Feng Shui, the color red is for fame and reputation and has the quality of increased "energy". It is a "re-charging" color for fur folks and non furry folks. Red helps us with a bit of extra energy we all need during the holidays...so, don the home with red and wear it as well during this short day, long night time. Green is for the family life space and the holidays are filled with green for sure. Trees, decorations, wreaths, garnishes, cookie sprinkles too! Put a green kerchief on your fur folk and see the family bonds get tighter. Warm wishes for you and your family this wonderful and cheery holiday time...and many thanks for your gifts of love, loyalty, and friendship this past year!

Fur Shui went to Andy and Melissa's wedding in Escondido, CA! It has been a very "Western" theme as of late for Fur Shui and its travels. This month the book went with Lucinda to a wedding where the accent was definitely the old West with the bride and groom decked out in wild wild West costumes and Lucinda came as a native American. Lots of black was evident in the old time vests, suits and dresses, very formal...black is the color of life path...let the wedding couple have a long and prosperous life together for sure! The father of the bride and bride find Fur Shui to be amusing as well as the book seemed at home with the gifting and food celebrations! All enjoyed the day and cheers to the bride and groom, may they have many happy years together with much abundance and joy!
